how did you punch holes in them? I wanted to tie a ribbon on the side, but have no idea how to make the holes.

Re: For those who made their own programs
I bought a mini-whole puncher from Michael's. It worked great! I also used it to punch holes in the RD invite and then I tied ribbon on the top

Re: For those who made their own programs
We folded the programs and instead of making full holes on the sides we placed the hole puncher so it would cut only half the hole. When opened, it was a little irregular in shape but just large enough to pass the ribbon through. I hope this makes sense.

Re: For those who made their own programs
Did you have to punch the holes separately or can the hole puncher do 2 holes at a time?

Re: For those who made their own programs
We only have the single hand-held hole puncher. We measured one to find the exact position of the holes and then used that as a guide for the others. It went fast. Be sure to do it over a large box or a cookie sheet to catch all the holes.
Oh, did I misunderstand your question? We did both sheets of the program at once.

That was exactly what I was asking!
So you folded the programs first, right? And then punched holes in the sides, but not full holes, right?

Re: For those who made their own programs
They sell hole punchers everywhere from Michael's to Staples. Just try first with a regular size paper, folded, and then punch the holes and then once you get the exact measurement with your program with the sample paper you have and it is measured just the way you wanted, you are on your way to setting up your programs.

Re: For those who made their own programs
I'm not sure if you are directing your question to me. If you are, we used standard size paper and when folded the program is 8 1/2 X 5 1/2. We experiemented with the look we liked with the ribbon we were using. Our holes were each 2 3/4 - 3 in. from the top and the same from bottom. We liked how the bow looked in the space between. We used the standard size hole puncher with the little cover for the holes. It still gets messy but it helps.
