Was it exactly what you originally imagined you would go for?
I always thought I would opt for all lace...ended up with all tulle!!

Re: For those who said YES TO THE DRESS
I thought lace and with sleeves...
I ended up with chiffon and no lace at all. Also, I thought I wanted to have straps so I could wear a regular bra and I have a one shoulder (basically strapless, bc the strap is more decorative) sweetheart top.
But, I LOVE it!

Re: For those who said YES TO THE DRESS
I always pictured a big princess ball gown really sparkly with some kind of halter top, spaghetti strap, etc.. however this look made me look like a midget troll
I ended up with an a-line gown more on the simple side and strapless and I loveeeeee it!

YES! I always wanted a sweetheart neckline, tight with a dropped waist and then poofy on the bottom. Well ever since I started thinking about my dress lol.

Re: For those who said YES TO THE DRESS
That's so funny you posted this!!! I always thought I would go with all lace or something very simple, but ended up with a little bit of beading, a corset and organza!! The lady at the salon told me she knew my dress as soon as I walked in!!

Re: For those who said YES TO THE DRESS
So the moral of this post is, when you go shopping for a dress let other people pick what you should try on!
Sounds like that's what works best! Who would've thought!

Re: For those who said YES TO THE DRESS
I thought i would have an all lace gown. I ended up with a silk gown. But other than the fabric, the silhouette, embellishments were exactly what I pictured.

Re: For those who said YES TO THE DRESS
The dress I got is nothing that I thought I wanted.
I thought I wanted a ball gown but I ended up getting a trumpet style dress. My MOH actually picked the dress for me to try on.

Re: For those who said YES TO THE DRESS
My dress is not at all what I imagined I would end up with. But it just goes to show that you should try on anything and everything because dresses look completely different once they're on you. That being said, I am in love with my dress!! :o)

Re: For those who said YES TO THE DRESS
My idea of what I imagined really morphed after the first salon I visited!
At first, I thought I wanted a satin ballgown with a very sparkly belt (there was a lazaro one that I drooled over but was out of budget). After I tried on a bunch of different styles I realized 1) I am too short at 5-feet tall for a ballgown, and 2) A fitted a-line was best on my shape... I thought I wanted something to cover my tummy but I realized the more fabric on the gown, the bigger I looked!
I ended up with a very vintage-inspired gown which is totally ME! and is what I was looking for AFTER I knew what would look good on me. But yea, before I knew what would look good on me my vision was TOTALLY different than what I ended up with!!!
I actually just ordered it today!

Re: For those who said YES TO THE DRESS
I thought I wanted a backless sheath with color, not all white. And with straps. ended up with strapless sweetheart modified A line all ivory. The only thing I insisted on was lace appliqué and I git that

Re: For those who said YES TO THE DRESS
It is very similar to what I imagined, and has all the fabrics and detail I love. ( lace, organza, tulle) I didn't think I'd get a dress with as much beadwork as it has and I didn't think I'd go for a cathedral length veil.
