For those who sell on Ebay
How long do you wait to report someone for non-payment? Someone bought something from me Buy It Now on Oct 27. I sent the first invoice that night. I then sent a second one Monday. They haven't emailed me at all to say that they are sending a check or whatever.I'm really pissed because someone else emailed me to see if I have another of the same item, and I don't. I want my money!
TIA!

Re: For those who sell on Ebay
When you list the item for sale, you have to tell them how many days within payment must be received. I believe if you dont change it, it automatically sets to 7 days, but I'm not sure. Check the item description of what you listed, it should say how long.

Re: For those who sell on Ebay
I was just checking the answer center at ebay and it seems 7-10 days is the suggested waiting period. But a Non-paying bidder report can be filed after 7 days.Personally, I would email them one more time saying you expect payment or a form of communication within 1 or 2 days otherwise you will file a NPB report. If they get 3 of these they are kicked off ebay.
I think you will also have to file for a final value fee refund so you don't get charged by ebay.
Good luck.

Re: For those who sell on Ebay
I usually wait 10-14 days before sending a final payment notice - just in case the buyer is away.

Re: For those who sell on Ebay
Thanks. I'd said pay in 7 days, and feel like I gave them 2 opportunities in that timeframe to pay, but feel bad filing a non-payment report. It's just weird b/c they did Buy it now, I had a flat shipping fee, so they could have paid right then. I'm annoyed that they are avoiding both of my emails.

Re: For those who sell on Ebay
That's weird they did Buy it Now and then didn't actually do that. But you shouldn't feel bad about reporting them...that's how bad ebayers get weeded out.Think of it in reverse, maybe the same thing happened to the last seller and they felt the same way...now here you are not paid and being charged for selling something that wasn't sold.
Good luck!
