Re: For those who went to Billy Joel
we parked at shea.....we left 1 song early (during the encore...it was a beatles cover anyway lol).....anyways, we got in and out no prob....not an ounce of traffic. I suggest planning to arrive at 8 (he went on at 8:45 at mohegan AND shea) and you'll go right in (10 min wait at the gate for bag check)....when he does the last song, start working your way down (by then you can watch the encore from one of the other levels bc security won't care by then...and leave after the 3rd song (he does 4)...you'll hear #4 from the parking lot and you'll be in your car ready to go as the rest of the ppl are just leaving the stands. I am such a tool

i would suggest you park your car in Bayside...have a couple of cocktails at one of the numerous bars on Bell Blvd...then take the LIRR in from there!!!

Re: For those who went to Billy Joel
We just followed the signs - we were there by 6:30 and parked in field D - they have shuttle buses to get you to/from shea. we only took the bus there because we wound up being really close. Parking is $30 and everyone was tailgating - beer/wine folding tables/chairs and food.
Seriously - leave during the encore unless you absolutely must hear him sing piano man. The amount of people walking out took longer than driving !!!

Re: For those who went to Billy Joel
we parked at shea w/o problem, except for the 30 buck fee!
we stayed until the very end and it took about 15 mins to get out of the lot.
