Re: For those who went to St Lucia..
We went to St. Lucia on a non honeymoon vacation. Our favorite activites were the Land and Sea tour - it covers most of the major sites you ride up the coast in a bus and then back down in a catamaran on the return. On the way back the catamaran stops and you can jump overboard and go snorkeling.
We also loved our solo trip to pigeon Island where we did some hiking and basically had the beach all to ourselves - go on a weekday, the beach gets crowded on the weekends.
The Friday night Jump Up - basically a giant street party in town every Friday - gets crowded, but lots of fun.

if you're staying at the grande you should take one morning to go to the national park right next to it at the end of the beach and hike up the mountain...it's super cheap as compared to the excursions and you get some exercise and really pretty views of the island...

We stayed at The Regency, but to be honest, even tho the regency is awesome, and gorgeous, the Grande has all the water activities u can possibky imagine..including thr waverunner, they have so much, and we did all the water sports there. at the regenecy, we went ont he catamaran (party cruise), im deathly afraid of the ocean, so I didn't like it, but my husand and the couple that we hung out w/ who we know from NY, we went togethrr, the 4 of us. my DH, her and her DH were sooo drunk, and at one time i thought my dh was gunna fall in the water, he was hanging off the edge . . . and they made u take ur shoes off. . . ewwww so skeevy! we also went to the spa twice, did a massage, and then another thing called 'rub a dub dub, 2 in the tub' we had a candelit dinner on the beach (thats extra, about $200) , and we had other things shedules to, like cycling through the rainforest (we chose not to do it), and horsebacking riding, and the quad as well. we had a couple more things booked, but theyre was a storm coming in (a bad rain storm), so they had to cancel it. . . but we had SOOOO much fun! it was awesome!
if ur undecided if ur gunna stay there, the regency is beautiful and so is the grand, but w/ tje grand, the water is more clear, and calmer, because its further fromthe rainfrorest, where as the regency is close the rainforest, and the water is rough, and its clear, just not as clear as the grand. and halycon is VERY small . . .

My favorite part of our honeymoon in St. Lucia was RELAXING! We enjoyed lounging by the pool sipping our frozen drinks and taking in the sun! A definite must do is the couples massage...its worth the money!
