His mom told us that we were invited to his uncle's surprise 40th birthday party........I totally fell for it!
My sister/MOH planned it. She told me we were going to a charity wine tasting in Harlem and even emailed me a flier w/ pics and all but she put a different venue b/c she knows I research were ever I go. When we got to the actual place she told me we had to pick up a case of wine for the tasting and there everyone was..shock of my life!!
It was his mom's surprise 60th birthday party....
Mine was at my parents house when I was visiting. They had to get me out of the house so my cousin dragged me shopping for 4 hours that morning. I knew because she was stalling in the stores and pretending she needed a ton of stuff. I am a quick shopper so I was getting mad when she was taking so long in every store haha.
My sis (MOH) and mom planned it. My cousins were planning my aunt and uncle's 40th surprise anniversary party and they had my cousins send my a fake invitation. The party was actually the following weekend at a different location. I actually RSVP'D and bought a gift. FH was just coming with me to the party. Of course that morning I wasn't feeling well so I called saying I wasn't going to be able to make it. Needless to say that made my mom, MOH and FH go nuts trying to think of ways to get me there without blowing the surprise they had worked so hard to keep.
well, it was a surprise ... until my MOH came to my house with a blindfold! i was blindfolded the entire car ride there, and into the restaurant where i was left to unmask myself. it was hilarious. not using FH at all was a good trick.
