how many people are you expecting? And how are you managing staying within the budget?

We have to garentee so many guests. We pay for them, if extra guests come to the wedding we have to pay the day after or day of I think. I'm not sure though if that the best way to do it.

We booked at a hall that holds up to 130 people. Our budget is $15,000 and we are going over it already assuming 126 guests (our current list). I'm guessing that maybe 10 won't make it so that will give us some more money, but can't bank on that.

We are having 125( reception at that amount would be about $10,700)

We are not including phots's/video in our budget b/c we are paying afterwards ( well after for both)

17500 was my budget! Now I'm looking at 30,000. Luckily my minimum is only 100 people so I am looking to cut the guest list down! Someone talk to my mom!

Are you talking about budget for the reception hall or for the whole wedding?

We did our whole wedding for less than $15K (closer to 10), but only had 31 people.

My budget is about $15-17K and I am still within it - I may go over but only under $1000 not much more than that - 125ish people...

We are planning on about 80-85 people. FI's from the midwest and we are not expecting most of the extended family (which makes me a little sad but that's been our main way of keeping the guest list/budget down!)

I was lucky to find a dress I loved for about $600 (was going to go up to $1200 and would have kicked in my own $$ if needed). We also may forgo the video. We also found a photog we loved for a great price. Also, having the reception on a Friday night saved us a lot.

Our budget is just under $15k for about 120 people, but with taxes and tips, its a little over $16k. This is not including the HM- but we aren't going until July of 2006, so we will have time after the wedding to save for that.

I sell on Ebay sometimes, in addition to cutting back on our extras.
