for those with ceremony & reception at the same place

what are you doing about limos? I can't figure out whether to get limos or not. I know I'll definately want a pick up and drop off for us but I am not sure what to do about the bridal party. My parents are definately getting a limo for the entire night and I can always have them drop us off at the hotel after so maybe I can just get limos to pick up everyone else and take them to the hall. What do you think??

I just posted a question like this the other day...LOL! I am getting ready at Flowerfield, so I was debating having limos. To be honest I do not feel they are necessary, so I am just trying to decide now if I want to spend the money on them. I think it is a nice touch, but again I dont really need them. When you decide let me know...

We didn't have limos. Frankly, it came down to ca$h!! We drove our own car (with my nifty personalized 'Just Married' sign) to the Garden City Hotel after our reception!!

Our bridal party used their own cars or went w/ family. Honestly, no one questioned it. They knew my DH and I paid for the entire wedding...it wasn't a big deal.

I am arriving in a limo w/ my Mom, MOH & my Aunt. My Fi insists on driving his new truck, which will be our get away car(I hear he's got big plans to decorate it) We are having a town car from the limo company pick up our Best man & his girlfriend & also take them home. The limo will leave & come back @ the end to take home my MOH, Mom & anyone else that needs a ride.

I'm getting married and having my reception at East Wind next Saturday (!). Since East Wind is about an hour from where I live, most of my bridesmaids and my Mom and Dad are riding with me in a limo.
My FH lives closer to EW, so he's driving himself (with our getaway car) and his family is going to meet us there early for photos before the ceremony.
My deciding factors in getting the limo were the distance and my large dress (I didn't think I would fit comfortably in my car and didn't want to risk wrinkling my dress).

I had a limo pick up me and the girls in the morning...(all had significant others or family meeting them at the wedding...and would be taken home that way)

DH's family wanted a limo so that they could drink (also had 7 people in from Arizona with no car, so it was easier) DH got a ride with them...and I jumped in after the reception...

We were going to drive our new car...but unfortunately I had a little fender bender with it one month before and it still wasn't ready for the wedding

We were also thinking about renting a Porsche or other nice car to have as a getaway...just consider if you or your DH will be drinking that day...Although I didn't drink much, I would not want to drive away in my dress...or maybe it would be cute...

We are cutting out the limos.

I will arrive with my MOH, her man will drive his own car, and my parents will take their own as well.
FI will drive with his BM, and his parents will come on their own.

I suspose this is easier to arrange b/c we are not having a bridal party

We are not using limos, but we are also staying at the hotel right next door to where we are getting married. My FH is staying there the night before the wedding and I am driving out with my mom and MOH that morning, but decided a limo wasn't necessary since we won't be dressed yet.

Although, to be honest, I do kind of want one.

I kind of want the limos too, but dont think I am getting them. Well we'll see I guess.

Since I was getting dressed at the reception hall, I didn't need a limo to take me there. We all drove there from our respective hotels. But, we did have a limo take us from the wedding to our hotel afterwards. That was worth it. It was for 3 hours (there is a 3-hour minimum), and I think it was something like $300. Not too bad, and worth the photos we took with the limo. It was a nice way to end the wedding.
