FOR THOSE WITH KIDS.......

How are you getting them involved in the wedding?

My FH has a son and he is our RB, but just thinking about doing a little something special for him as well during the reception.

Our son is going to walk down the aisle with FH, along with his 6 year old son. FH will be carrying our son while holding the hand of his 6 year old son.

We're also probably going to walk in with both children when they announce us at the Reception.

I am having my sons walk me down the aisle. Our special song for them is YELLOW by coldplay. I used to sing it to them when they were little and they both go NUTS when they hear it (DANCE WITH ME MOMMY!) - so we will play that and we will dance with them.

We are also having a lot of other kids at the wedding and hiring 2 babysitters to hang out with the kids and entertain them. I don't think they want or need much more than other kids to hang out with to be honest..

My daughter is my MOH and my son is a GM!

My 8 yr old daughter is my maid of honor, and my 3 yr old son will walk me down the aisle, with my father.

I wanted my daughter to do a reading at the church, but she doesn't like the spotllight, so she bowed out of that.

I have seen sone beautiful vows that can be made by fh to the children during the ceremony ('I promise to raise you as my own, etc....) I cried my face off reading them - I hope we will do that as well.

I also have a babysitter coming to the reception for my 3 yr old - I can't chase him all night, but I wouldn't dream of not having there with me - it's his day, too!
