Does anyone know if the Watermill does a rehearsal? I don't remember if they told me or not and I figured I would ask here first before calling them. TIA!

Re: ? for Watermill brides
They do not do a rehearsal. They will do a quick run down 15 minutes prior to the ceremony.
I saw the new chapel the other day and it took my breath away. I can't wait. When you pick your menu they give you a lot of homework. I had to do most of it for my DJ, so I'm not sweating it right now. LOL

They told me that if you really want one, they can arrange it, but it really isn't necessary and that they normally just do a quick one before the guests arrive, which is what we're doing.

I just went there today!!! They refurbished the Astor Room. It's minor changes but it looks soooo much better! They aren't quite done yet though. They are redoing the bar area too.

Do you know if they are also doing anything to the Vanderbuilt room? I don't want them to touch it I love it, unless it's just minor stuff.

Not that I know of. I had asked when I booked in August, my BM just said the Astor was being done.

I actually just called them because I wanted to sign up for the winter showcase coming up in a few weeks. While I had them on the phone I asked what kind of renovations have they done and her words exactly were 'We just did a little face lift to the astor room, it looks really pretty, but we didn't touch the vanderbuilt room'

That must be a relief for you!
They did a little nip/tuck and plumping to the Astor.

Re: ? for Watermill brides
Ok!!!
They redid the panels, from that goldish color to a white circle pattern (I'm doing it no justice, it looks really good!)
New curtains, from goldish (again) to a sea blue. I'm bad with colors, that's why my wedding is black and white.
They also are redoing the bar area which is not completed. Instead of carpet, it will have a granite or marble floor and they are putting up new wallpaper.
That's about all I saw, who knows by next week? You'll have a nice and refreshed room!

I'll def post some non-pro ones within a few days of the wedding.. We aren't going on our honeymoon until March so they should be up fairly quickly!!

Do you know if they made the dance floor in the Astor room any larger? I'm considering booking my wedding there but I'm concerned about the dance floor being too small?

Re: ? for Watermill brides
I got married at the watermill in 06. I always heard what a great place that was but just be careful. I had a lot of problems with them. Especially with the matrdee (sorry spelling) just go over things with them carefully.
