FH is a smoker- I am a former smoker and quit 2 and a half years ago. Anyways, I have been trying to get the man to quite since then. Well, he just called me up and said 'I am quitting.' I ask him why and he said the counterperson at the gas station said cigs will be $7.25 tomorrow. THANK GOD I kicked the habit. Between smoking and gas- how can people do it????

LI always had cheaper cigs but there was a time about a yr + ago that i was spending 7 a pack here in the city
BTW, i now drive like a snail at 60mph to save on gas and thankfully quit cigs over a yr ago

i bought my last pack today and i bought some nicorette gum to try to quit- $40 for 100 peices of gum that will last me about a month or $148 a month for cigs...my choice was the gum

I'll let you guys know how the gum works. Im nervous to try it-ive tried the patches but i haaaaaaaaated them-im hoping the chewing motion helps

i told fh i was going to quit after the summer was over but the price just forced it on me...i cant justify spending that much on cigs nemore. I do have a peice of the nicotine gum in my mouth right now tho-its tingly but doesnt taste too bad!

I agree in that I wish my FH would stop smoking too but seriously doesnt the governor have better more important things to take care of like the price of housing instead of worrying about cigarette smoking
