This is kinda an aqward question...but how much money per person did you donate to your charity?
And how did you present it to your guest?

im going to do a donation to the lance armstrong foundation in the form of those yellow bracelets... im going to put one bracelet on each place setting and tie a card around them saying who they are in memory of...

The Epilepsy foundation has braclets as well...so that is what I was thinking of doing...the braclet wtih the ribbon on it. My cousins son has Epilepsy and We are going to donate to the hospital that has helped him alot.

We did $5 per guest (we had about 80 guests) and I designed a card that was put at each place setting that indicated our donation and included a short statement about the organization.

We're doing $10 per guest and the companies we work for both do matching gifts to charitable organizations, so it will end up being that over $6,000 is donated total.
I HIGHLY recommend finding out if your comapany or FH's company will match charitable contributions. It seriously increased the amount we were able to donate.

Just give what you can afford... I wish we could afford to give more, but we still have a mortgage to pay for, so our donation will be on the smaller side...

we didn't have a huge favor budget, so we just did the lance armstrong livestrong bracelets that were $1 each, and gave one to each guest with a note that said ' to honor our loved ones affected by cancer, a donation has been made to the lance armstrong fund' with a little tin of mints, too.
i have to tell you we got SOO many compliments on these....and still see so many of our guests that are still wearing them even 6 months later... you can't say that about many of the other favors out there.... it was money well spent
