??? For you ladies w/ divorced parents...

Can anyone tell me how you are having your parents walked in at your reception?

Or if you are already married how they walked in?

Not sure how this goes, but I kinda want them to be announced as 'the brides parents'....

then who walks my step-mom in??

I am so confused!!

My parents are divorced and do not have significant others so they will be introduced as the brides parents, Pauline & Jim and will walk in together.

I've been thinking about this too....

I decided for me it's best to have 'the bride's mom' and 'the bride's dad and step-mom'

My mom has done so much for me I don't want her to 'blend in' with my dad....sounds bad but...

You can have them say 'the bride's father ________ & his wife _______'

I did not have my dad's wife walked down the aisle & had my mom & dad walk me down together. That REALLY pissed her off

I'm having my Dad walk in with my grandmother because she's really important to me. My brother will walk my Mom. I did NOT want them walking together or being announced together.

I am so torn!

My Dad and step-mother are helping us pay for the wedding, and my step-mom is a big part of ours lives.

My Mom isn't with anyone, so I'm not sure if I should have her walked in by my Uncle.

Would they then say 'the brides mother' escorted by.....??

Thanks ladies...you are always a huge help!!

Yes, that is the best way to do it.

my parents are divorced . i don't speak to my dad or stepmonster at all. but my mom and my stepdad are awesome. and actually to make a long story short my stepdad and mom aren't married they been together for 18 years just never got married. but to me he is my stepdad aka my dad to me. i had his name as well as my moms on my invites.

i would do what you stated above brides mother escorted by.......... and have your dad announced he is your brides father escorted by his wife.......... its hard because you don't want to hurt anyone feelings.

my fh side his mom has passed away but we still see and keep in touch with his stepdad. so i am in the same boat. we have to anounce him too or all sugar will break loose. i was just going to say here is someone specail to the bride adn groom mr ...... escorted by........ just so we can keep the peace. it stinks sometimes but what can ya do.

well my situation was a little complicated. my parents are divorced but also blind so they could not walk in together. so my dad and Dhs's mom walked in together and then my mom and DHs dad walked in together.

You can work this out however you parents are most comfortable. I have seen moms walked in with their brothers, etc....

be sure to ask who wants to be introduced. dh and I were going through this till we asked his parents what they want. My mil was introduced with her husband and fil didn't want to be introduced so that solved the problem. He actually only came for the ceremony and part of the ch then left to avoid stepping on any toes I guess.
