we are inviting people from Spain, Germany and Mexico...when do those invites need to go out?
I sent some to Ireland and I sent them around the same time as the US invites, maybe a week earlier. If you are concerned about their travel plans, you can send a Save the Date card to people in advance so they have the details earlier on.
I recently went to a wedding where there was a large amount of out of the country guests. The bride and groom sent out a pre-wedding invitation about 6-7 months before letting them know of all the information on the wedding that was needed (hotel bookings, local airport, travel time, costs, necessary phone numbers for bookings, etc.) At the end of the pre-invitation she wrote 'As customary a traditional wedding invitation will be sent out 6 weeks prior to the wedding.' This kind of letter alleviated any problems or questions that people had.
good suggestions...should the invites/save the date cards be in spanish/german or english?
