Forest Green Co-ops in Islip

Does anyone know anything about them? I've heard mixed reviews. There are a ton of co-ops for sale in that complex and we need something around that area.

TIA!

It's on Union Blvd. (County Rt. 50) according to MLSLI.

Careful, although it used to be a great area, it's borderline ghetto now.

I heard that since they bought it out and turned it to co-ops (around 2004 ish, it seems?), it's gotten better.

Sigh...

Do a 'drive by' like on the weekend at night.. I mean that would be the only way to really know, even though it's cold now so you won't see many people outside.

We did a drive by tonight, although it was raining. I like to check out cars when I look at apartment complexes to make sure there's not too many that are run down and crappy and I saw quite a few really high end cars and most of even the regular cars (hondas, nissans, chevys) were fairly new models. So that at least seemed to be promising.

I'm gonna go by there around the time people get home some time next week and ask a few questions. FH is going on Sunday to check out some of the units because there's an open house. So we'll see what happens. I feel much more comfortable now though, that it doesn't look like crap at least.

Thanks to everyone for their feedback!

On a better note, my boss lives in Islip and the school district is EXCELLENT, she also said that the area has had a lot of turnaround in the last few years and you'll probably love it. Everything is closeby.. We also do happy hour up the block at Chili's (in front of Kohls) lol
