i would def go back and complain to the owner, complain about your BM and see if you can get some money back, i feel so bad! but it does sound beautiful!

I think thats terrible that they didnt at least apologize to you- very heartless! I would definately talk to the owner & at least voice your concerns, someone definately owes you an apology (and a bowling party)

they didnt seem to care that isnt right - I know this wont makeup for the bowling alley but maybe you should speak with the owner and tell him your issue maybe they can accomodate you in another way

Can you re-read your contract and see if there is anything in there re: renovations?
If not, I would def try to get some money back... Breach of contract and all that. Is there any mention of the bowling alley at all?
I can't even imagine how upset you are. I can't believe the BM wouldn't even offer you an 'I'm sorry.' What a douchebag!
I hope there is something you can do. Or something they can do for you. Definitely go back there and talk to the owner. Maybe, just maybe, he can help make you feel better...
