One of the places I am going to register is Fortunoff but someone told me that they are being bought by lord and taylor or something..do you think it will effect the registery?
did anyone find that they have stuff out of stock?

I registered there last week...didn't hear anything about a L&T buyout. They were great - really helpful. And there are TONS of options for housewares, china, everyday dishes, etc. Good luck registering!

i heard that like a year ago that they were to be bought out by L&T, but I think the only change will be L&T will carry their stuff.
So far my luck has not been great. Most stuff had to be ordered, they are always out of something.

My dishes went out of stock, but that was the manufacturer of the dishes not Fortunoffs. Macy's carried them too, so I would have had the same problem either way. But they e-mailed me to let me know it was going out of stock and were great about helping me handle the unfortunate situation.

That's old news, lol! So far all my experiences with Fortunoff have been spectacular, the sales people always answer my silly questions and the ladies in the bridal area help me with whatever. All my stuff is in stock but a few things got discontinued and they sent me an email so i just deleted it online and picked something else out.

I am registered there. I have things about them being bought out. I am not sure though. I'm sure it won't affect the registry much.

I did but only to get a gift card. This was about 2 weeks ago. I have been getting emails every week with things that have been dis./out of stock.

I registered there, they were already bought out by Lord and Taylor about a year ago. I wouldn't worry.

i did. don't know anything about changing ownership. only one item on my registry was out of stock for a bit, but someone got it for us.

Im registered there & i have not had a problem. Been registered since May. They are fine. It wont be a problem at all. They are the best. And yes Lord & Taylor bought them awhile ago.
