Re: FORTUNOFF ARTICLE FROM NEWSDAY TODAY
It reallymakes me sad because it was such a great store, I think the problem was that there were so few Fortunoff stores. Bed bath and beyonds are everywhere and you can go to Target and pick up small things you need in almost every town.

Yea, it was def predictable also. They way they were giving stuff away at the bridal events. It pnly makes me wonder. I REALLY don't know what to do. My registry is there and my shower is weeks away.

FH and I were talking about this too because there are some things that were bought off of our Fortunoff registry so we are just praying nothing is broken. If it is we plan on contacting the manufacturer directly. You are right about all the free stuff, we got a kitchenaid stand mixer for registering for a certain amount.

Do you think they are still taking returns? FH and I got an electric skillet from Fortunoff that we didn't even register for! So we wanted to return it, but now I don't know if we'll be able to...Anyone know?

Yea, that was probably when we were there. They were giving away very expensive items- the Henckles Knife Block, Kitchen Aid, Keurig Coffee Maker, Dishes, and I even saw Waterford stuff on there too!
The only thing I am going to do is take the boxes straight to stores that carry them if I need to return anything and hope I can get an exchange.

Re: FORTUNOFF ARTICLE FROM NEWSDAY TODAY
Michelle - When is your shower? I am pretty sure mine is either the last weekend in Feb. or the first weekend in March. I hope we are ok until then! I had more on Macys than Fortunoff and it seems half my fortunoff stuff is purchased. I am not sure if I should move more to macys but if people go there and there is nothing on the registry I will feel so bad!

I live in the city so going tonight is out of the question. It has to wait for a weekend...and one that I'm on LI....I guess we'll just be the proud owners of an electric skillet!

If they don't let you return it you can always try returning it to another store that sells the same product. Just say you got the skillet as a gift and don't have a receipt but know it was bought at that particular store.

Re: FORTUNOFF ARTICLE FROM NEWSDAY TODAY
i bought my bedroom for fortunoff in december and they were going to hold it until i was ready. My delivery date was 3/21 and i called yesterday freaking out the sale rep suggested i set a delivery date by feb 28th. That is the date that is no one buys them they will go bankrupt.
