Re: Fortunoff bridal event
FH actually wanted to go but I had already made appointments with my two friends for a girls day out. We're going for facials and then maybe BM dress browsing and hopefully I'll get to show them my dress too!

Re: Fortunoff bridal event
You should go! Its fun! (The survival party is....) Its good bonding time
I went to the Girls night out one at Fortunoff's in Manhattan- we got a really cool goody bag...but it def wasn't worth the LIRR fare over there (or the $20 chicken fingers at the deli afterwards )

Re: Fortunoff bridal event
Ps- you don't have to get there at 10...it only takes about an hour to do everything and you have to wait t il the end for them to announce winners.
FYI; At the survival party you play little wedding related games in order to win prizes...like tossing the bouquet (you have to get it in the basket) guessing the value of jewelry and houses, musical chairs, a little fitness challenge, doing up a bustle, tying a tie. There are a bunch of different vendors. They also have door prizes and the winners of the musical chairs get to dig in a huge cake to find a diamond ring. We didn't win anything, which s*cked, but we had a great time. We finished everything by 12 so we went and had lunch at the food court in the mall, but they also have some munchies and drinks (wine, juice water) there

ETA: the girls night out had a little fashion show, alot of jewelry vendors and they were doing free makeovers but the line for that was wrapped around the store. It was really cramped at the manhattan store. the goody bag had a gift certificate for a free makeup refresher at red door spa and a cookie, a mousepad and a few coupons. Only the bride gets one, but we cheated the system and my sister got one too. I have yet to call and find out what a makeup refresher is though...

I heard about the bridal event at Fortunoff, but I can't go because we're celebrating my grandpa's birthday that day
