fortunoff girls - vent

My cousins soon to be wife registered there over a year ago and I realize that now they are going through some harsh times but its REALLY frustrating that everything on their list is in backorder for MONTHS and maybe 5 items are in store.

So we got one thing so far and the sku number didn't match (one number off) so we told them to remove it off the list because we didn't want to just bring cash to the shower and pray that this is okay.

My mom said a few people are just buying random gifts now in the family and I told my mom to tell them I rather get no gift then some 'odd' gift not on a registry that might be hard to return so to inform this poor girls mother before she gets a ton of unwanted gifts.

yea told my mom i am going to teach her how to shop online (danger) and buy some more stuff its the other family members who can't do that -

yea weird shiit has been going on with them lately....

Want to laugh? I just checked mine and it is showing 'special order' and a 'deposit required' on a $9.99 item!! That's actually kind of pathetic.

oh geez....that s*cks!!! I am gonna have to put more things on my BBB registry now....I loved the luggage I picked at Fortunoffs too

So Im new at this!!
The first thing I did when i got engaged was go to register! I registered at Fortunoff....
I had a great time registering! Im still in the middle of doing it, i go to print my registry up at the desk a lot, to check on the status of my items, and its looking great! I had one concern about an item and i spoke to the manager and she re-assured me that she is there for me, and continued to check the status of my order that i wanted for my birthday! I got it!
After looking into where i wanted to register, i decided there because it was so CLEAN there and customer service was up to my standards, and i just very confortable. They didnt try TOO hard, but they were proffesional all the way!! Especially in the bridal department!!! I felt that any problems wouldnt get solved with out voicing my questions! Im actually going right now to register - so im going to write back later and tell you how it went today!!!!

I could get on? The first time i couldnt because i had so many passwords in my head!!!!
I called, and they gave it to me haha

i registered at fortunoff and got everything off my registry no problems

hope it all gets worked out

I think what you have to do is click on 'Find a registry ' first and then once u click that..on the bottom it says 'access your registry'

I know a lot of people seem to be having issues, but if I may suggest calling the registry dept at the westbury store, they have been VERY helpful for me.

And MOST of my registry items that show as backordered online are actually IN STOCK is the store, definitely call them and check your own.

the only problem with that is that we cant tell our guests to call bc things are actually in stock and not to go by the site. Well my shower passed and during my shower 90% of my stuff were on backorder. But i couldn't call my guests and say anything about this. Guests will check online and see that your stuff are on backorder and not even bother, most won't go to the store to just check. I did have some guests who didn't check online first and went to the store and even in the store they didn't have it, one lady ended up just getting me a fortunoff giftcard bc the things on my registry she wanted to go they didn't have.

Unfortunately thats the problem, we can call but it wont help since its the guests who buy it

I totally see what you're saying, and I guess it really is different for everyone's situation. in my case, my shower hasn't come yet so my mom is able to spread the word to guests as they rsvp, or if she's asked about the availability issues that the inventory in the store is different than shown online.

yeah my registry was fine for the first week invites were out but then soon after is when things started going on backorder. 70 ppl were invited so we didnt call everybody but yeah i mean it was fine i had 2 other registries so ppl just got from there

I see the frustrating part, i think since my shower is not here yet im going to voice my opinion about that!!!! Thanks for the input!!!!
