Has anyone registered here? I am trying to decide with the new take over/chapter 11 thing going on if I will have any problems registering with them.
Also what is the benefit with them? In other words do I get a discount on items not purchased off the registery after the wedding?

Re: Fortunoff registery
I thought Lord & Taylor bought them or came into make sure they were financially stable but not 100% sure.
if oyu register you get 10% off weddign bands and favors and attendants gifts and I think 10% off things you buy not purchased off the registry for 6 months passed wedding date
i personally love fortunoffs but registered at macys and bed bath since physical store was accessible to more

I am registered at Fortunoff's. They give you a pretty goody bag with a pretty book and coupons. You get 10% off jewelery and attendant gifts. You also get 10% off on all registry items that were not bought in case you want to buy it yourself. And they also have a nice return policy.

macy's is similar with percentage off on bands and addt'l items on regsitry not bought. I just prefer bed bath fror some everyday home stuff and macys are more prevalent - people like my mom go to the store and not shop online so that may have swayed my decision

I'm going to probably register at Fortunoff, I think them being bought out by Lord & Taylor affected a few registries bc they had alot of things on backorder -- I guess they werent ordering new things until the takeover was final?? I'm assuming that by the time I register everything will be back to normal -- Macy's is my 2nd choice, I'm not 100% sure if I'm gonna do Fortunoff or Macy's, I guess it depends on which store has more of what I want/need

Fortunoff was bought by LNT. They are in good financial standings. The store I would stay far away from is Linens and Things. They are probably going to go bankrupt w/in six months !

Sometimes stuff at Fortunoff is cheaper - like my plates were. I am registered at Macy's, Fortunoff's, BBB, and Crate and Barrel - just a little bit at each. I figured this gave people lots of options.

This is also a good idea -- I know someone who registered half of her china at Macys and the other half at Fortunoff just to give people options.
Crate and Barrel has great stuff too -- I'm so torn, i want to register everywhere but I think I should narrow it down to 3 places

Re: Fortunoff registery
We registered at Macy's, Bed Bath an Beyond and Target.....Target was awsome cause they have the percentage off of things not purchased on your registry so we registered for a flat screen TV and a digital camera, a BBQ, and some unorthidox things like an air purifier (FH has terrible allergies) and a safebox to keep all of our important papers safe.....stuff like that so even if nobody buys it for us we can get % off after our wedding!!!!
