Fortunoff return policy? returning gifts from registry 8 mos after wedding?
I would like to return some of the things that I received as gifts from my registry. I don't want have receipts but they were taken off my registry (plates, coffee maker etc) Could I return them and get a store credit or will they give me a problemsince mywedding was 8 months ago?

I returned stuff that was on my Registry they looked it up and gave me store credit. I think they leave the registry up for a year. Good Luck.

Kristi, DH and I just went through this. They will only take back stuff that has not been discontinued and they will only give you store credit. Just watch the prices, some may have changed and bring your own copy of your registry from home.

I believe that Fortunoff's allows returns within six months of your wedding date. I tried to return a few things this summer that were purchased there and they did not let me.

I know it sounds shady, but if they only allow returns before 6 months, is there a way you can change your date online?

They actually have stuff locked in to their computer. They had the exact date we registered in their computer.

ah, ok. I registered at Macy's instead of fortunoff, and they didn't have the dates locked into the computer. We changed dates a couple of times, and each time I just changed our registry online.

I was also registered at Bloomingdales and their return policy is so much better. They put no time limit on it.

I just exchanged a lamp on Sunday (it was an even exchange for the same lamp)
What's weird is that right after my shower, I returned some things. The saleslady was a little huffy about it.
But, now that it's almost 5 months after the wedding, no one has said anything to me...(but, I have only been exchanging, not returning)
