FORTUNOFF VENT

FORTUNOFF VENT

I am so freakin annoyed!!! I went to fortunoff tonight because my shower is coming up (I don't know when, but I know it is coming). My dad gave me money from my grandma because she is 87 and lives in FL and won't be coming to the shower so my dad told me to go get all my bedding and that will be from her. So needless to say, all the bedding is pretty expensive and I spent a long time there making sure I got everything off my registry that I put on there. I get checked out and a half hour later I get home and check my registry real fast to make sure it came off so no one else gets it...
You guessed it...the woman didn't take anything off the registry.
I don't just want to delete it because I want it to look like someone bought it. So tomorrow I have to make some phone calls and hopefully won't have to go back to the store to do this because that will make me extra annoyed!!!!

I hope this doesn't happen when other people start buying things off the registry!

just delete it..... you're grandma is likely not computer savvy, and this way you can make sure you don't get duplicate gifts.... if it really is 'getting dark and stormy' in the near future, you have no idea when people will order stuff. they could even order online in the middle of the night.....

you can still show the linens at the bridal shower!!!

That has happened with my Macy's registry. People bought us engagement gifts and they were never removed even though they swore they told them to take it off. My mom said she stood there and asked two times if the guy made sure to remove everything she had bought from my registry. When I called them they said I had to come in with a receipt so I could get the reward (5% back I think). Like I want to track my guests down to get receipts and then go all the way over to Macy's to show them.

You can actually call them and tell them someone bought it for you and they will take it off. My cousin bought my brother something but found it cheaper somewhere else for his wedding and called fortunoff to make sure that noone else bought this for him!

DO NOT DELETE IT!!! If you do, you will not get the bridal rewards credit after your wedding day. I believe you will need to bring in your receipts and show it to them so that they can remove it and then your registry will properly get the credit for it.

is it possible that it takes like a day to show up on your registry?
that is so annoying that they make you go all the way back just to check it off!

Fortunoff's is notorious for not taking things off the registry. I had to call them and tell them that I was sent a gift that wasn't taken off. They did it on their end and it showed up as bought about 10 minutes later.

Definitely don't delete it, if you change your mind about it, it's easier to return if it's on the registry.

Call/email and they'll fix it. It happens with a lot of stores! Pretty much any time I buy a gift that contains multiple items for someone, whether for a baby or bridal shower, I have to contact the place because they left at least one item on.

I had some weird stuff happen with my fortunoff registry. I checked my registry and found out that four pieces of my china were bought, I was ecstatic...come to find out four days later they were posted back on the registry as if no one had bought them. I asked fortunoff and they had no clue. I haven't had my bridal shower, so I am curious to see if anyone reallly bought the china or not....weird!!!

You do not have to delete it nor do you have to go back and show the receipt. Just call them and tell the what happend they will show it as purchased for you!

Definetly do not delete. Why not get back points for it. Make them fix it. I would try calling and then if they dont fix it then go back.

I don't understand what's so hard about this.
We had such issues with out baby registries - the only store that didn't screw up was Target.
