I heard on the news this morning, that Fortunoff may file for Bankruptcy. Is anyone still going to register with them? I'm just wondering how this is going to effect wedding registries. Lord & Taylor might buy them out. Below is an article from the NY Times today.
Oh wow! I was thinking of getting my wedding band there. I wonder what happens to the jewelry store warranties!

From what i understand, warranties for all products are underwritten by insurance companies, so even if the actual store goes out of business, the warranty is still effective (or should be)

this is not the first time they filed for chapter 11...they'll still stayed in business even in the past when they did this

PLEASE don't worry about this ladies if you registered there. Businesses file for chapter 11 all the time and continue operating for years and years to come. It just means they're filing for bankruptcy protection from their creditors. There is no danger to your registries or any of their products.

yeah someone posted about this yesterday and knew ppl who worked there or they themselves have worked there. They said it was not the first time. With chapter 11 its more about getting your finances in order. Someone explained it much better and clearer...if you do a search that post should come up

i think there are different methods of doing the whole chapter 11 shindig.. so i think your registry should be fine!!
