Found a location for our destination wedding!!

FI and I just returned from the Hyatt Dorado Beach Resort and Country Club in Dorado, Puerto Rico!! What an amazing experience!! We knew we wanted to do a destination wedding, but had no idea where. We happened to come across the website for the Hyatt and booked it -- last minute.

The resort is BEAUTIFUL!!! We met with a wedding coordinator down there and he gave us a three and a half hour tour of the entire place!! Not only did we get a tour, but we were upgraded to a beautiful oceanfront suite (the beach was our backyard!) -- only paid the price for a standard room!! We had wine/cheese delivered to us from our travel agent (anyone looking for a travel agent, FM me -- she's great!!), and had everything taken care of for us because we were VIPS!!

We meet with our travel agent tomorrow night to book the date!!! I'm so excited. Anyone considering a destination wedding, FM for details. I'd be more than happy to help!!! :)

Thanks so much!! I can't wait to get started. The travel agent I'm working with does tons of destination weddings and her company actually flies her out for the wedding to serve as a 'wedding coordinator' -- so I feel much better about planning from so far away. The first step after setting an official date is to make my STD's!! I'm sure I'll be back for some advice :)

I was just down there at the Hyatt Dorado Beach for wedding. The food is incredible and the outdoor ceremony on the beach was amazing. Congratulations.

Congratulations!!!!!!!!Your wedding is going to be beautiful! I love Puerto Rico, it's gorgeous and the weather is always nice. My FI is from there and has been talking about going there again soon!

So glad everyone loves Puerto Rico -- if anyone is looking for a beautiful place to stay, the Dorado Hyatt is GREAT!! I'd be more than happy to FM pics if interested :)
