Well I found a place in the city that we both like for our anniversary next year. Its in the city and is an intimate space which honestly after seeing it looks better than the boat I had my little heart set on.
Since our 1st dance was not as we wanted this is technically a do over lol..with out hte stress of planning an actual wedding of course.
I went and saw that place in the city when I was looking for a reception hall! I initailly had my heart set on a reception in Manhattan. That place is beautiful but it was to small for my wedding.

LImom, We are looking into having them cater it. I havent tasted the food.
Alixgirl, It is definitely for smaller gatherings. Which is why our 'do over' is perfect. Would have been too small for our 130 guests that we originally had at TheCoral house.
There is the Manhattan Penthouse which holds up to 225 I believe but I didnt look there. But honestly the traffic going into the city is ridiculous so we are definitely keeping it to a minimum.

I looked at the Manhattan penthouse also. They are owned by the same company, right? The Penthouse left much to be desired.

Yeah the Penthouse is owned by the same company.
So basically me falling in love with Alger House is totally a good thing and not a waste of time.
OMG I was thinking the penthouse was going to be better lol.

LovelyL, No its DH that surprised me. He actually belted off a guest list. He is excited and tonight we went to an upscale BBQ and he was interviewing the DJ....asking if he ever played in the city etc.
So i am super excited..especially since he said he may want it to be our 7 year anniversary..April 9th, that we do this celebration.

Awh.....your DH is a sweetie! I am confused though. I thought you were originally planning a one year anniversary (of marriage) celebration. Is 7 years how long you've been together? April is one of my favorite months btw!

Yeah, we have been together for a while. April 9th is our anniversary when we met and May 29th is our wedding anniversary.
Basically we are trying to see which date is cheaper to plan for. The one in April which is still off season or do the party in May. We want to have a photographer and a DJ. Flower or Candles..dont know yet. LOl I am really excited planning again..I am soooooo crazy.
