Bought my corsette today from Miriam's Corsetieres in E. Meadow. It is perfect for my strapless gown. It hugs the hips about 2 inches below my waistline so it won't fall down when I move around. They also custom fit it to your body for the perfect fit. I highly recommend them.

I know that I can be comfortable & not have to worry about it falling down all night. I would recommend that place to anyone who has a strapless dress.

NovemberBride, is it a 'real' corsett or a long bra? I searched for a corsett & was told they don't sell them anymore. I wound up buying 2 long bras, 1 at Blums & 1 at Georgettes. I'm still not thrilled-do you have the phone # for Miriams?

It's in the shopping center where Chelsea Street is. It is a corsette. It runs about $65.00 inc tax and alterations are included.

They have them there. When you purchase it, you bring it home with you to get fitted for your dress. Then about 2 weeks before, you go back to Mirium's for the alterations. I had also tried a different store but they were trying to sell me one that only came halfway down to my stomach and it was falling down while I was just standing still.
