I've been having trouble finding DO shoes. I've been all over the city and nothing really has jumped at me unless I wanted to pay over $250. I don't. As a lark, we (me, BMs & MOB) packed into my tiny Honda and headed to Sandy's in Massapequa, from Astoria. Within 20 minutes everyone found their shoes and purses. They really have everything and in all sizes and widths. Worth the trip for anyone who is on the fence.

I got mine there as well. So did both my sisters. They were so helpful.

Re: Found shoes!! @ Sandy's
I had a terrible experience there. Actually, I wouldn't even call it an experience because I ended up leaving before trying anything on. I waited for over 20 minutes for someone to help me and then after realizing that I didn't care for any of the shoes or could get the shoes cheaper at CRAFT SHOES in Commack, I ended up leaving. I felt like the store was cramped and small. Craft Shoes is spacious and there is always someone available to help you. They aren't pushy, either.

I'm getting my shoes there too. They actually moved the store 2 store fronts over and the new location is much more spacious. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience.

Sorry to hear about your experience. They did move to a larger location and we found everyone attentive, helpful and patience with us. Glad to hear you found something that worked better for you!

I agree that the old Sandy's was old and cramped, and it was really hard to get service...I also agree that Craft Shoes in Commack is a lot bigger, more reasonably priced, and they are much more attentive to you.

Yes, they have flats. I'd say look at their website but it's not well put together and barely has any stock on it.
