Hey girlies, Just got back from my first dress shopping experience and it was amazing!!!! I loved every second of it! The first dress I tried on was the dress I fell in love with but unfortunately - it comes with a very very very high pricetag. I found the dress at Kleinfelds but what they're asking for the dress and the alterations is too much in my opinion. So here is where you come in - what stores can I go to and find my prefect dress? Any tips? Thank you!!!

I had the same problem but I contacted other stores and priced the dress. I then called the wedding center in commack. If they dont have your dress they will order it for lower than the retail price. feel free to FM if you have any other questions about it. GOOD LUCK!

omg!! go to the priscilla of boston in Roslyn... I bought my dress from there last weekend at a sample sale & had the best experience. They were so nice there. Maybe the price will be cheaper if you go to the actual priscilla store.

Ugh, I was there today but they didn't have that dress. I also can't wait for the trunk show 'cuz the wedding is in june and that doesn't leave me with much time at all!
Gotta get this dress this week.

Burtons in Melville is like a wholesaler and if you give them the dress maker and style they can usually get it cheaper.
Call Carole- she is great
I got my dress for half of what a salon wanted and my sister wanted a really $$ Eve of Milady dress and got a great price on that one too
