I went there to a bar mitvah in January and it was excellent. There were 2 other parties going on, but we didn't know it. Food was great and I think the family was very happy with the service.

My brother used to work there when he was in college. He loved it, He always goes on about how great it was. He worked at a catering hall out here and talked about how horrible it was and he was always comparing it to the fountain head

Love Fountainhead.
When we first started our search,I really wanted to have our wedding there but decided against it because we've gone to too many weddings there,DH is from Westchester originally-so's his family/friends..we wanted a 'different' experience.
Always great food and top-notch service. Sure its not one wedding at a time, but you'd never know it.

We checked it out and it's very pretty. It was more then we wanted to spend and they wouldn't negotiate and to top it off - we saw a mouse run across the ballroom dancefloor so that was out!!

Re: Fountainhead in Westchester

We booked FH.. we knew it was the place as soon as we walked in and met Sandy.. we loved the chapel and we're using the smaller room (round dance floor)..

We just did a tasting with FI's parents and my mom and her S.O. last weekend and they cant stop raving (and that was just the tasting!).. and believe me, my mom is hard to please.

word of warning: the one thing that does stink is that you must use the house florist - they give you a choice of 2.. arcadia in mamaroneck or diana gould .. they're both not really 'competitive' (as they say) .. more 'suggested retail price', if you get my drift...

FM me if you want more details or have questions.

edit>
btw, they run 2 parties at one time (no more than that -- there are only 2 rooms) and they are on opposite sides of the building so there's really no chance of any problem. they have plenty of staff to make sure you're taken care of. it was initially one of our concerns but we're not so concerned anymore (we saw how they run a tight ship).
