Fountainhead of New Rochelle versus Marina del Rey of the Bronx?
I have been checking out wedding halls for the past month almost every weekend. I think I have narrowed it down to Fountainhead and Marina del Rey. Here's what I like about Fountainhead - they were flexible with the start time on Sunday, have their own chapel and have a good variety of food to offer. Here's what I don't like - the banquet manager said that we can only have a food tasting after putting down a $1,000 deposit and we will not get our money back if we hate the food.
Here's what I like about Marina del Rey - it has a gorgeous view of the Long Island Sound, city and 2 bridges and they said that they do food tastings with a small deposit which is fully refundable if we do not like the food. Here's what I don't like - the food is mostly Italian and it was about $10 more expensive than Fountainhead on Sunday unless I agree to start the ceremony at 11:30AM.
Has anyone been to either of these halls recently and what did you think of the food and the events overall? Thanks!

I have never been to the Fountainhead before but i have been to Marina Del Rey twice. Most recently last Sunday for a wedding. I enjoyed it more this time around as the first time I was in the bridal party and this time I was just a guest, free to roam around the RH. The weather was gorgeous so the ceremony was outside. Beautiful pictures you can take on the pier overlooking the water. The cocktail hour food was amazing. I got fulljust from that. The pasta and main course were really good too. You're guests would really love Marina Del Rey especially if they have never been there before. Good luck! I hope this helped.

I went to Marina Del Rey for my best friend wedding last summer. The weather was warm and gorgeous so they had their ceremony outside. Beautiful view on the pier overlooking the water. The cocktail hourand the main course was amazing....
