Four Points by Sheraton in Plainview

did anyone stay at this hotel for their wedding? I wanted to stay there the night before and get ready there the morning of my weding but FH is convinced that the suites will not be large enough for my whole bridal party to get their hair and make-up done there. I have 7 girls in my BP, does anyone know anything about the size of the bridal suites? TIA

hi! we booked the four points for our OOT guests and we have the bridal suite for the night before and the night of the wedding. we went and looked at the hotel and loved it! the bridal suite is pretty big--i don't know if you would want 7 girls getting ready in there at one time, but could you get another regular suite in addition to the bridal suite? maybe in the same hallway so you can still go back and forth between rooms but have more space? i would def recommend going to look at the rooms if you haven't already--it's super nice there!

thanks for your reply The problem is, not all the girls are staying there the night before, they'd be coming the morning of so they can get their hair done, most of them will probably already be fully dressed by the time they get to the hotel. I should have explained that before, sorry. But I can't justify booking another room because no one will be staying in it

no problem! :) hmmm...i think as long as you are ok with having all those people around when you are getting ready, it wll be fine. the suite (from what i remember) is pretty big--there's a big bathroom, a sitting area and a huge area with the bed in it. have you contacted anybody at the four points? the guy we dealt with there was extremely nice and had no problem with us stopping by to see the room.

i know to me how many trips are they going to make.. for $500.00 I was thinking of looking into limo co service doing it.

I really dont want to spend $500 on a shuttle. its not that far away from my RH

$500 is much cheaper than what the limo companies are going to charge though....we were quoted more from a limo company.....i would rather spend the $500 than the 2K we were quoted

Re: Four Points by Sheraton in Plainview

we stayed there for our wedding night, as did our OOT guests. the bridal suite we stayed in would be a little crowded for 7 people to get their hair and MU done all at the same time.
but there could be larger suites.
call them and make an appt to go over and check things out.

I am having my wedding at the Swan Club too. How far is this hotel from the RH and are you or do they provide transportation for your guests?

hi there! our limo company told us it's about a 20-25 minute drive from the four points to the swan club. i'm not all that familiar with LI but my FH says this is about right. the hotel is not providing transportation, but as the other girls were saying you can hire a shuttle through the hotel but its pretty pricey. i don't remember exactly what we were quoted but i remember thinking it was too much for what we'd need. if you have a lot of OOT guests it may be worth the cost. you may also want to look at the wingate inn in garden city--they were booked for my weekend but i've heard great things about them!

I'm using them as well. I'm also paying $500 for the shuttle but that's a good deal compared to the limo companies.

Thanks! I thought that the wingate changed to LaQuinta, but i am going to check that out too, no matter what name it's under these days.

i have 2 rooms booked for me, my mom and 6 BM's. I didn't go with the suite though...i went with a standard double room...but I booked 2 rooms exactly across the hall from each other. we'll probably be doing 1 room with make-up and 1 with hair....the doors will be kept open and we'll go back and forth freely between them!

Hey Jess -

I booked there too. . . the one bedroom suite is larger than the bridal suite. . . and it is about the size of 2 regular rooms (which are pretty large)

I think it is enough room for you to get dressed there. FH is getting ready there too, I'm getting ready at my Mom's house.

I got quoted $576

We are going to call around to limo companies and look for something cheaper anyway, but that annoys me. She told me it wasn't negotiable at ALL.
