I am in the process of blocking rooms and have no clue about how to go about it. I am interested in Four Points Sheraton, can anyone give me any feedback? Are the rooms expensive? Do you get a complimentary bridal suite if all your blocked rooms are reserved? Any info would be very much appreciated.

I don't remember the exact the price, but I know they are very reasonable. The hotel is still fairly new, so it's nice and clean and updated. You do not get a free room if all yours are reserved, and the suite is expensive, but it's huge and awesome!

Re: Four Points Sheraton (Plainview)
Hey, I blocked my rooms there. Ask for Nicole if you call, she's the sales manager.
Our block is at $135 per night for a double or king size room.
We also booked the bridal suite. It's $295 per night, but if you have 5 rooms booked, it's only $199 per night.
You can block up to 15 rooms without a guarantee, anything over that must be guaranteed.
The bar closes at 2am, but for $150, you can have it open until 4am.
There is a shuttle (for NRC at least) at $425 that runs as many round trips to/from for 2 hours prior to reception, and 2 hours after.
Finally, they also have ballrooms for brunch options. They run $12-19pp depending on menu.
I think I covered it all, but let me know if you have any other questions

are you getting the shuttle directly from the hotel? or did they make you contact/call another company?
thanks!

Re: Four Points Sheraton (Plainview)
we used them. Their prices depend on the time of year and the amount of room availability. Your suite is not free. We chose to go with a regular suite instead of the bridal suite b/c there was more room. I think it was around $200 a night. Our guests were charged $135 for a single or double occupancy room. Just call them up and tell them you'd like to block rooms for your wedding, if you want they'll take you on a tour, believe it or not they have people who work at the hotel whose purpose is to accomodate to people blocking rooms.

Re: Four Points Sheraton (Plainview)
My room rate there was for $139 + tax. I received a discount on my suite for booking atleast 10 rooms. Technically my rate was only good until a month before my wedding (April '09) but they honored it until the day before. Most of my guests found their internet rates at $119 for the same rooms. I contracted with Olga, then did most of my correspondence with Ryan. Both were good but I found less confusion with Ryan.

Just call them up and let them know that you are interested in a room block for your wedding. They'll speak with you and give you a rate for the time of year you are looking for, send you the info, and set up a tour.
I have my block there, and I think the place is very nice :)
I believe Nicole Neary is the person you'd need to speak with.
