Who have you been planning with? I have noticed a lot of people use email to ask questions about the reception - have any of you?

When I call I usually get the receptionist, who tells me I have a lot of time left and shouldnt' worry - but I only have 3 1/2 months! I want to make sure that the little things I want will be taken care of.

Also - any recommendations? Are you using their seating cards or making your own?

I haven't really started 'planning' much with anyone, I guess b/c we still have some time to go. I booked with Mel but not sure if he is the one to walk you through the other stages..

If it doesn't sit right with you what the receptionist is saying, I would insist to talk to someone else, even if for a piece of mind.

Not sure about seating cards either. I haven't seen what they offer.

We were planning with Mindy but she left & now we're working with the head banquet manager - don't recall his name.

Same thing here, when you call you get whoever's available BUT they keep a log in your records or who you spoke with, date/time, the topic & what was said. At least they say they keep a record. We are definitely making our own seating cards only because theirs aren't plain. I'll see if I have a pic!

I would suggest calling and asking to speak to the person you booked with so that you can get things straightened out. I would think that by now they would have had a bridal manager get in touch with you to start discussing finals but maybe they do that in the last month?

As far as placecards...I once saw this posted for what they provide. I am doing my own though.

I'm supposed to go for finals in 2 weeks, but I'm not sure who I will be meeting with.

We're doing our own place cards. It's not something I really even care about, but my mother *insists* we get something cute and colorful...

I booked with Mel too! He was very accomodating, and after going to several places and being unhappy - when we got to Fox we were sooooo happy with everything.

I am just going to have to be a little more pushy next time I call. They do keep saying that they will do anything we want, and everything will be taken care of when we come it to pick the menu.
