Fox hollow brides

I'm planning on having my wedding in the Briar Fox room and I went to see a DJ last night....

I want lights, but the woman who i spoke to at the DJ recommended that i should go with special lights called mini. They go by the DJ booth and they go out and over to project the beam onto the dancefloor. She said the regular lights (the ones that are on the open grate that projects straight out) would not be good since they will blind people who are sitting.

I want to know what kind of lighting (if any) other Briar Fox brides are using. Of course the ones that the DJ wants us to use costs a good $250 more than the regular lights. I wasnt sure if the woman was trying to be helpful, or if she was just being a salesman and wanting more money.

i know this is a little late BUT i spoke to Body Rock and that is what they told me as well. however all the other dj's i spoke with said it wouldnt be a problem and they've been there before.
My band has lights and they said it's not a problem b/c they've been at the fox hollow before in our room as well.

i'm not sure if that helps or not.

also, if you are having a large guest list for the room i'd reccomend staying away from any of the lights they actually put ON the dance floor. I personally don't feel the room is big enough for that.
