Fox Hollow Brides please HELP!!!

Any thoughts on the Fox Hollow reccommeded Bravo Sound for a DJ? I'm kind of in a bind and I wanted to see if anyone has had them or is having them. Any info, thoughts, comments??

I met with them and they seemed really nice - just not what we were looking for. What kind of bind are you in?

My bind is that my wedding is in about 6 weeks and we need a DJ! Long story on why but now we have no one and I'm really scared!

I didn't meet with them, so I can't really help. But it seems like there are a bunch of well-liked DJs around - I'm confident that you'll be able to find someone that you like who is available.

Completely understand the urgency...my opinion - meet with them. They are good to start with because Fox Hollow does recommend them. Granted - anyone can argue that that doesn't mean much but at least you know that they have performed at FH and can expect that they have the required insurance and such. Did you speak with Body Rock? While it must be very stressful for you I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the flip side is that you might get a better price if they are not already booked since it's so close and I'm sure they want the business. I know when I spoke with Bravo they mentioned that the FH recommendation is somewhat new. Have you met with them?

Yes, I spoke with them yesterday and they were so helpful and nice. I just wanted some other opionions too from you girls.
and yes, Body Rock is booked.
I live in NJ so it's hard for me to come to LI to listen but so far I'm ok with them.

does this mean that fox hollow no longer recommends top hat?? I used them and was sorry I did!! I hope they were replaced w/ this bravo name you mention

ETA - Have you tried Tommy Tunes? A lot of brides on here are using them & they aren't on Fox Hollow's web page but they are a vendor for the Watermill & thats a Scott place!

Bravo - Their prices were a little less than the other two DJ's. Maybe this won't sound right (I don't mean to offend anyone!) but it seemed like they had a much more ethnic feel to their style. One of BM's came with me & she said it was exactly what she would want & she knew it wasn't right for me. She loves to hear rap, R&B, regee & anything spanish. I on the other hand want to hear Tony Bennet & Natalie Cole. They were defintely able to do an elegant & fun wedding though but just like anywhere else - it'll have their mark or style on what they put out. If it helps, my BM was so impressed that she's thinking of booking them for her wedding.

Top Hat - I only know 1 person that used the & they were not satisfied at all - FM for details.

Body Rock - we booked them - but you said they were booked - sorry

I'm using Bravo Sounds for my wedding next week. They have been very nice and accomodating. I recommend speaking with Mike. My FH family is Italian so it is a must to have Frank Sinatra, Jerry Valle, etc and they have no problem doing this and they understand the crowd and will adapt.
