Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Hi girls,

I am new to the whole planning. Although I have already booked the RH, Fox Hollow of course, a florist and found and bought THE dress, I have a lot more ahead of me.

For those that had an afternoon wedding. Did you coordinate a post party?

If so where? who was invited?

Thanks

hi! welcome & congrats! i am having an afternoon wedding as well but i don't think we are going to have an after party just because i don't think we can afford the extra cost. However, a co worker of mine did this and what she did is she booked a coach bus from the hall to a bar in huntington, and they had their dj make an announcement that whoever wanted to go could take the bus to the bar.. and they all hung out there afterwards.

Hey Hon!
I actually was just at Erga Bakery (the bakery the Fox uses) on Saturday and priced the upcharge my below cake. My cake will be round, that's the only difference.

It will be 4 tiers fondant, the top tier on a stand and the rolled fondant roses will be replaced with sugar roses (cheaper and prettier!)...the charge is $400.

This is MUCH cheaper to going to an outside bakery and the fillings I sampled are DELICIOUS! We're having some type of sweet cream (Forgot the name) with sliced fresh strawberries.

I would recommend going in person, I brought 2 cakes which I really loved and Lilly was honest about which would work best and what would taste best.

ETA: they have a website, google Erga Bakery to see more of their work.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Hilton Garden Inn in Plainview we found to be the best hotel in the area for the money (we checked them all out). The hotel is only 4 months old and it's only like 7 min away from Fox Hollow.

They have indoor pool, restaurant and bar area.

They made it very easy to block rooms.

Good Luck.

Can anyone help me on this:
Our receotion is in the Briar Fox, we are using the oblong tables.
One side of tables is my fam, first one being my parents table, on the other side of us is my fiances family, with his parents table first. Now, where does the bridal party table go???? I thought they were suppossed to be first, but I dont want to put them in front of his fam, or my fam, I feel the parents table should be first.

Usually the bridal party can be split up to sit with their significant others...they dont all have to be at the same table...our best mans was at a table at the back w/ my hubbies college friends...when they called him up for his speech they played the god father theme as he walked up across the dance floor..

the chair covers were nice too...

and ladies.. all my guests raved about how delicious the cake was! we just used the one that was provided by Fox Hollow... PS - the ice cream pin wheel dessert is PHENOMENAL!!!!
