We went to visit Fox Hollow today and loved it just as much as the photos we've been looking at online. We're in love with the Winter Garden Pavilion.
The only thing is that I really wanted an evening wedding and for the Fox Hollow that consists of an 8pm ceremony and 8:30pm- 1:30am cockatail hour/reception. I wish it could be just an hour or two later! I'm all for staying out late and having a good time, but I'm concerned that I'll be exhausted by 8pm- especially with how busy the day of will probably be.
Also, we're looking at March and it gets dark early so I'm not sure what we would do about photos (which we would prob take before the ceremony). The photo area they have inside isn't the most beautiful of rooms either so I don't think I would want photos in there.
For those Fox Hollow brides, where did you take your photos if your wedding was in the evening? Anyone have a wedding this late? How was your day scheduled and how did you feel by the end of the night? TIA!

Re: Fox Hollow Evening Wedding?
I know there are a few recent brides that had their reception in the Winter Garden Room, try doing a search on the bride review board to look at their pictures.

Re: Fox Hollow Evening Wedding?
Hey we took pictures w. the bridal party and parents at the studio. around 6:30 dh and I took some pictures outside on the grounds of fox hollow. we had a church ceremony that started at 3:00pm and ch at 7:00. Not sure if this helps, but I would suggest that you and dh see each other before the ceremony to get your pictures in and catch some sunlight. on my day, the sun began to set around 6:30 pm. you can actually check what time the sun will set on your wedding date online. Mine was pretty accurate.

Re: Fox Hollow Evening Wedding?
Stinenandy- thanks for the advice, I'll do that. I'm sure it'll be helpful!
Mrslarrea- thanks for your input. For some reason I had in my head that it gets dark really early in March, but after doing some reasearch I see that sunset is around 7 at the end of the month. I guess then we can take photos an hour or two before the ceremony (which I'm fine with doing).
Do you know if Fox Hollow is flexible with the start times? I see you said your ch started at 7, but they made it seem like mine would have to be at 8:30. Thanks!

They are so NOT flexible. I asked to add on an additional hour and pay for it for my cocktail hour and they said no. I asked if I could start earlier, 'NO!'
They have so many weddings going on the same day that they cannot change the time of your wedding. Someone else will have their cocktail hour in the WGP from 7 or 7:30-8/ 8:30

Re: Fox Hollow Evening Wedding?
There are only 2 weddings going on at a time and they stagnate the start times to avoid congestion in the hall ways. I think it's for the best.
I'm in the WGP and my cocktail hour begins at 8pm, my wedding ends at 1:15. The other wedding ends at 12 or 12:30. The lines at the valet should be better as a result. I like that we are the last event in the evening, they are setting up my departure table (hot cider, cookies ect) in the lobby since only my guests will be there at that time.

Thanks for all of your input ladies! It seems like a resounding 'no' that I won't be able to get the time to be earlier, but a few of you (I also posted this Q in the Fox Hollow Brides thread) seem to think it may be possible. Since I haven't booked yet, when I do maybe that could be a way of getting my way. Like 'well I really want to book here but only if the time is an hour earlier' haha. we'll see. Thanks again!

Re: Fox Hollow Evening Wedding?
Pasting here too but I mailed the same info to you...
I was looking around at posts from Fox Hollow since I recently booked there and came across your post regarding start time. I'm not sure whether you have already booked at another place but the banquet manager at Fox Hollow told me the wedding party can get to the place 2 1/2 hours before start time to take pictures. You cannot change the actual start time of the ceremony or reception (which was what the other brides on the forum were saying) but can get there earlier for pictures. Hope this helps!

How did it turn out? I am a 2012 Foxy Bride with an evening wedding. I am in the WGP. Because we are in late March my BM says we may be able to have the ceremony outside.
I have the same concerns you do. I asked if we could start even a 1/2 hour earlier and was told NO. How did your asking strategy work?
