fox hollow questions

this weekend fi and i went to check out the fox hollow. We met with david who was very professional and nice. we loved the wintergarden pavilion room and the price was great! we are thinking of booking a late august of 2007 wedding during the day. however yesterday i spoke to my one of my friends who was there in that room for a bridal shower sunday. she said the room was sweltering hot, the service wasn't that good and the food wasn't good either. I do understand it was 95 degrees sunday, but shouldn't the fox hollow be prepared for something like this? my friend did ask someone who workeded there if the ac was broken or something and they told her it was turned all the way up. She thinks it was just broken and they didn't want to admit it. Do u girls have any experience with the food, service or temp during the day for wgp room? unfortunately my fi and i wont be able to make it back there anytime soon to taste since we live in philly, so i really value ur opinions. TIA!!

Re: fox hollow questions

I went to a wedding there for my cousin in July. It wasn't very very hot that day but the hall was definitely air conditioned. The cocktail hour was great, but I wasn't impressed with the main courses. The desserts were great though. Most people fill up on the cocktail hour anyway and don't have room for the main course If you loved the place and are getting a great price I would book there. It's beautiful for taking pictures.

Our wedding was in that room; it was about 78 degrees out that day and the air condition was definitely working and it was not hot at all....there were a few guests that were actually chilly....

We were there for a wedding about two weeks ago in that room, and the air conditioning was definitely working. We enjoyed the food...they had a seven choice menu which was great!! FM me for any details you are interested in!! The cocktail hour was unbelievable, so much food. We are going to look there next week for our wedding, but let me know any details you are interested in

Re: fox hollow questions

I went to a wedding there 2 summers ago and it was 95 degrees outside. It was perfect on the inside, nice and cool. It was not warm at all. I loved every bit of the food. I booked Fox Hollow myself!!

Re: fox hollow questions

I just had my reception in that room a few weeks ago! The room was kept at a great temperature and they even turned up the AC as the night went on and people started dancing (the Maitre'd checked with me first). I guess during the day it might get warm in there from the windows in the ceiling and if you're sitting right underneath the window directly below the sun I would imagine that it could get warm. Other than that you should be fine with the ac! If you have any other quesitons, feel free to FM me. Fox Hollow did a great job fo rmy wedding. I was very impressed.
