I have been to weddings at both and I think they are both great. I have a preference for Chateau Briand. I enjoyed the food and service there a little bit more and their vienesse was a bit more elaborate Also I think the people at CB are wonderful - the nicest. My sister was married there and my cousin at Fox Hollow. Either is a good choice but I am CB partial! Maybe people said it was the best cocktail hour they had ever been to. My sis had upgrades but I am sure their standard is great too!

I really think that you cant compare the 2 except that they are Scotto facilities.
They are 2 different worlds. Fox Hollow is warm with the wood and plants, etc. Where CB is more modern art deco-ish.
My wedding was at CB so of course Im biased and LOVED it. EVERYONE raved that it was the best wedding they had been to, the food was amazing and they loved the look b/c it wasnt the 'same old wedding' look. But Ive been to Fox Hollow and the food is amazing.
Its personal choice-which were you attracted to more? The second you walked in the door what was your thoughts?

I haven't been to the CB, but from the pictures I have seen, the two RH's have totally different looks. IMO the CB is a little flashier (I'm not saying this is a bad thing). My husband and I did attend a wedding at Fox Hollow a few years ago, and it was fantastic - the food was delicious and the service was great. If I'm not mistaken, I think they're both Scotto Brothers venues, so either way you're going to be getting delicious food....it's up to you to decide which venue's 'feel' you prefer.

i wouldnt let the fact that they have a lot of dates open defer you from still checking them out. sometimes people book at different times at halls... but dont worry if its the place you want defintaly check it out

i think it depends on when you are looking for too. when i went to the fox hollow for our wedding, they had 2 dates available in 2008.

it really depends on your taste. food wise though its very much the same stuff

I visited both, and both are great deals, I havent been to anything at CB, but I have at FH (Biased, its my hall as well). I honestly dont think you would go wrong with either site, it depends on which you prefer,

CB as others have said is very art deco, it reminded me of the inside of a 1920's cruise ship, and i have seen some BEAUTIFUL pictures of ceremonies there.

FH is more toned down, more old world elegance style. We have the winter garden pavilion, which is a beautiful room, and I have enjoyed the food every time I have been to a function there.

As for Fox Hollow having a lot of dates open, I wouldnt worry about it. i know a lot of girls who are getting married there, and others will book. when we went, people were already booking 2010 (we werent the first lol)

I would visit both, and make a list of pros and cons for each, and see which feels more like you. Thats what FH and I did (err, I did, and told him where we were going lol).

I hope this helps

I think it really depends on your style which one you like better. FH is more french countryside esque, whereas CB is a bit more modern romantic. I considered both. Price-wise FH was slightly cheaper. Menu-wise, they both offered a great selection. In the end, I think its just what your taste is.

I just booked the Fox Hollow for Jan 9 2010! It's a beautiful place for a winter wedding!

And having the Inn next door is wonderful!
