My Fiance & I are getting married at the Fox Hollow and we have the Winter Garden Pavilion room for the reception which is this Saturday night!
We both love this room, esp. since we are only having 110 people, but I would like to know if anyone has had there reception in the Winter Garden Pavilion or been to a reception there on a Saturday night?
The reason I ask is because my coworker told me she thought that room was better suited for an afternoon event rather than an evening one. The hall assured me it will be nice, but that I still have time to change it to the Briar Fox room if I want to.
I would appreciate any feedback on this!

My friend got married there on a Sat night last May and it was beautiful - the reception started at 7 and it was amazing!! I don't think you have anything to worry about at all!

I haven't been to a reception in either the WGP or Briar Fox, but I am very biased toward the WGP. Not just because I'm having my reception there as well but because it's such a unique and lovely room. Sure, you won't have the effect of the sunlight pouring through the windows at night, but I think it will still really impress the heck out of your guests and be a very memorable place for a reception.

thanks tanbride! I am going to go with my instinct & stay with that room esp. since FH & I both got excited when we first went to look at the different rooms there

Don't you just love the waterfall in that room?!What time is your reception going to be? I'll definitely give a review upon my return from my honeymoon!

Mine is at 2:30, just because that was the only time that room was available. I love that room so much, I never even considered having the reception anywhere else!!

The waterfalls in that room gave it a beautiful touch - the bride and grooms table was in front of it - my friend was very happy with the room and the service she received there. Her cocktail hour was in the resturant and it was delicious!! Good luck, that room is beautiful!

We are having our cocktail hour in the WGP. Just wanted to say congrats!! Also, the WGP should be fine for your reception with 110 guests

I had the Garden Terrace but I really loved your room. I had my cocktail hour in the Briar Fox and I like it but the WGP is so unique. Its much nicer than the Briar Fox IMO.

Stay with the winter Garden. It is a beautiful room. The briar is a little too dark. I am hoping that the weather is nice on my day because my cocktail hour is in the briar room and i would rather it be outside.

I like the Winter Garden much more than the Briar Fox. The BF is too dark for my taste. You are going to have a great time. I was also a Fox Hollow bride and let me tell you that you have nothing to worry about. They do an excellent job and they treat you like a queen.

I've been to weddings in the WGP and Briar Fox. I liked the WGP so much better. Briar Fox felt crowded and closed in to me. Just my personal opinion.

My friends got married in that room two years ago and I have to say that it was one of the most beautiful wedding rooms I have ever seen. Between the fireplace, the walls and the waterfall it was absolutely gorgeous. They had about 130 people and it was a night wedding and with the candles and the fire it was gorgeous. Stay with your original idea, it is by far the best.

We even plan to add some candles on ledge near the waterfalls...

Definitely stay with the WGP!!! It is so pretty in there at night. We are having our reception during the afternoon, but I saw it once at night and it was gorgeous. They have lights up on the ceiling and it looks so pretty. IMO it is much nicer than the Briar Fox.
