framing a wedding invite?

I want to get my friend's invite framed as a gift for her shower. Any recommendations of where I could get this done?

TIA!

Ebay! I could name a half dozen stores, but ebay will give you a much better deal.

I am not sure if this will help, but you probably can do it at Michael's...but if you get a shadow box type frame, you can probably do it yourself also. I am in the process of doing that for a friend of mine. FM if you want more details on DIY. I don't want to give it away just in case she uses this site.

noteworthy in woodbury, They are kind of expensive but do an AMAZING job... they will even do like a shadow box if you prefer.

I put my sisters invite in a shadow box, and it came out pretty. I got it at Michael's for 50 % off

I saw a nice frame at Macys that holds the invite on one side and the other side holds a wedding photo.

Thanks girls! I also heard there was a place in cold spring harbor, but I can't remember the name. I'm going to try some of the places you mentioned!

Re: framing a wedding invite?

Kohls had a ton of frames on sale... also, when looking for odd size frames, sometimes i have found frames that already have artwork in them, but were super on sale, so in that case you can just remove the artwork and put your stuff in!

My sister is great at doing this! Every wedding/shower, etc. that she has gone to, she puts the invite in a shadowbox and decorates -- and they come out gorgeous. It is such a great gift for that person to have a remembrance of their invitation. I keep telling her that she needs to start her own business doing this. If you want to see her work, FM me and I can give you her e-mail. Maybe she can do this for you.
