WHAT???? That is the best bakery...apparently Frank Sinatra used to buy from there

Can I tell you...I've never been there! I've lived in FS for 6 years and was never there. Then...just the other day we were driving by and I told FH we should check it out..

It figures!

I didn't know that! I just know noone else could make the rainbow cookies the same or those cookies with the cherries in them - it was so worth the hour plus wait during the holidays - apparently its been in business for 40 + years (according to my mom)....its so sad....maybe they sold the recipes too - but the baker who bought it is supposedly more into cakes and stuff.

That happened to the bakery up the block from me too...its so disappointing when you go in there hoping to get one thing and it turns out to be somehting else! I've never been to Ramona Lee but if the cookies aren't that great anymore try Sapienza they make great rainbow cookies and they also have these rainbow cookie things with a chocolate between each layer. Yummy! Its on Hempstead Turnpike too (but in Elmont)

Nope. Sapienza is Elmont. Right near King Umbertos..mmmm...
