Soooo, I just found out my sis in law is dialated 2 centimeters.. so looks like the baby is comin very soon.. But, Im goin away this weekend for my friends wedding in Newport Rhode Island.. and now Im afraid the baby will come when Im away.. does anyone know how long it usually takes when ur 2 centimeters dialated???

I Pray she holds of for a week or sooo!!! Def need some prayers.. cause I can not , not go to a wedding that I rsvp'ed to months ago.. especially when everything is paid for!! oh boy!!

Here's how I look at it... your friend get's married ONCE... the baby will still be there the following day. JMHO

its my first neice/nephew.. not sure what it is yet.. first time my parents will be grandparents so its very exciting!!!! I will only be gone for 1 day and thats saturday. so hopefully baby will come before or after.. :) lol. thx

My friend was dialated 2 centimeters for 2 weeks maybe even a little more.. I think you will make it! Congrats!

its hard to tell....it could progress quickly....my sister went to the hospital at 2 cm and then only a few hrs later she was already at 8...so it didnt take long but some ppl can take much longer

oh thats exciting! I say go to the wedding, and even if the baby is here sooner you will see he/she when you get back. there's probably going to be a lot of people at the hospital anyway so atleast if your there a little later you can spend more time with the baby with less people around

yea i think you are fine to go as well. i mean, it depends on how fast she dialates, it could take a week to get to 3, or it could take less. but i would still go to the wedding and just keep yoru phone on. even if she goes into labor and you are at the wedding, then you just drive home. but even if she goes into labor, that still make take some time for the baby to come.

it depends with my first child it took 16 hours for her to come with my 2nd i had in in 4 hours

I think you should be fine. Some people take longer than others to dialate too.
