freakin' priceline....

so here i am fooling aournd on the computer when lo and behold my computer freezes and of course i am on the last page of my priceline request that i plan on changing - i actually think it forze because itired ot go back - well, by the time i can unfreeze it with the ctrl/alt/dlt buttons i look and its going through - so i call priceline immediately b/c (my luck) its accepted......and tell them what happened and the girl is so nasty and says sorry its binding, there's nothing i can do.....wwaaaahhh!!!!

so i call discover (the card i put it on) and they told me to call back once the charge is approved and they will help me dispute it......


i love priceline usually but now i feel cheated by them.....they can't cancel it immedicately for me - its not like i waited weeks to try and get out it - i called within 30 seconds tops - which obviously proves it was a mistake in my book......boo!

i hope so too.....but the woman on the phone seemed comfident enough - she told me that its too late and that i was stuck - i even asked her 'so i am out my money then??' and she saod yes.....

that really stinks!!! I would have demanded to speak with a supervisor or something - like you said it was less then a minute later! I hope discover will be able to help you dispute the charges (or that you didn't want to make a big change)

got an email this morning from priceline saying the same thing again - sorry but tough - ergh!!! and i can't call back discover yet til it posts on my account....hope they canhelp!!!

I am sure that they can! I mean it is not like you booked the tickets and changed your mind this is a computer error

That stinks! That's why I am scared to use them. These companies are slick. They may have an agreement posted on their site that they are not responsible for any computer malfunctions and I bet that's how they get away with it.

Your credit card company will most likely reverse the charges. Good luck!

I think they are that way b/c less honest people call claiming computer error to get out of something.
