freaking mom

so what do they say? dont ask someone a question if your not gonna like the answer!!?? .. i just showed my mom two cake toppers i was thinking about doing.. i wanted to do a yankee cake topper as a cutesy surprise for FH... WHY oh WHY did i ask her opinion?! ' Oh thats what ur gonna do? ' i knew she wouldnt agree so why did i ask?! now im torn bc i was leaning towards the figurine n now will it look stupid?? waaaaaahhhh

Awww don't worry we have all made the mistake of asking mom opinion know we arent going to like their responses. I think a cute surprise for fh is a great idea

my mom was always the same way. dont tell her things or let it slide. my mom always made those comments... oh really?? is that what you are doing?? i dont like that. thats not the way it is normally done... blah blah

That's ok my mom keeps telling me that my acapella group for the ceremony is classless, Mom's have their opinions, but it is important to remember that it is your wedding!!!!!!

i think thats adorable and if ur FH will love it then do it!! the wedding is both urs and his so do what makes u happy.
if ur mother doesnt like ur cake topper, she will eventually build a bridge and get over it lol

hahah thanks guys =) yeah i let it slide and rolled my eyes til i think i gave myself a headache
u guys are right i think im still gonna stick to the surprise =)
haha and well need to start a 'classless' wedding thread since none of us have taste haha

Oh that is a great idea. My fiance loves the yankees, which by the way they were awesome tonight. Did you see any Yankees figurines? Can you send pictures or a web site. Thanks

youll be more upset if you compromise...if it means alot to you...then stick to your guns...i feel in the end your parents just want to see you happy....my mom is giving me a horrible time about the color of my dresses....but you just have to grin and bear it...everybody doesnt have the same taste...and that includes family but saying that, i do compromise on the things that are very important to my mom....so its special to her
