freaking out...

FH and I know we have no rhythm and can't dance but we decided to practice our first dance and we're worse than we thought!!!!

it's too late for anything fancy, and after tonight we wont be back together again until Wed night so it might be hard to squeeze in a dance lesson... but does anyone have any tips?

a good website with slow dance tips or a good youtube video....

please....

Re: freaking out...

Fh is terrible dancer, I on the other hand have danced for 19 years so I was trying to teach him...but he still has no rhythm and makes funny faces when 'getting down' haha

so i say don't worry....just have fun and you will be fine. i dont think anyone who watches you dance will care what you look like ( if you have rhythm or not) but they will just be looking at you and seeing how in love you are and how great the moment is!!!!

Re: freaking out...

DH & I are pretty good dancers...but once we started we realized that we weren't all that good!!!!!!! It was just our nerves...and we realized that no one cared how good...or BAD we were dancing, all the guests were all smiles and just soo happy for us. That's really all that matters.

And FYI...my dad is a great slow dancer....but he was soo nervous that he stepped on my feet about 50 times!!!!! I was wearing flip flops and it was brutal!!!

honestly, you are going to be so caught up in the moment it won't even matter. try not to stress about it.

I have no idea how we danced, or if we were really even moving the whole time hahaha. i just know I was so incredibly happy and it was one of the best moments i'll ever have.

you two will be fine!

Aw, you're cute, Jen! I laughed out loud when I read this. I'm kind of nervous too because I reallly don't like being the center of attention. But, don't worry, just be in the moment and let your emotions lead you. Even if you're not polished, it will kind of come natural. So what if you step on each other's feet.

Re: freaking out...

thanks everyone... we're BAD, but after a little research on google and a few videos we've improved SO MUCH! We're still bad but at least we have a plan and I think it will be OK... as long as FH's flight is on time, we're going to dedicate Wed night to practicing

That's funny, I thought of seeing if I could find something on-line or TV that may help us. I think we'll be brave and just wing it!

We still haven't even picked a song, but I have a feeling we'll be the same way. Brides usually don't look bad because no one can see their feet. You could also have the band/dj ask the bridal party to join you on the dance floor after a little while. I've been to weddings where they did that.

I'm going to have to try to google some video instructions too! Thanks for the suggestion.
