My mom and dad have been in Florida for the past several days. Now my mom is super sick. She has a cough and a fever and can't lift her head. I am so worried she caught that stupid swine flu on the plane. Her immune system is already shot and she has some serious problems with her head and her sinuses that she has had for several years. So I am worried about her. Plus they are supposed to fly home tomorrow. My father doesn't know what to do.

Re: Freaking Out
She should ABSOLUTELY see a doctor down there ASAP, maybe even go to the ER. Hopefully it's NOT swine flu, but she needs to be checked out just in case. Also, your dad needs to call the airline and appraise them of the situation.
Fingers crossed and praying!!!

Re: Freaking Out
If I were you I would insist she see a Dr in FL before setting foot on a plane. I mean if she is having sinus problems, the pressure from the plane is going to make it worse.

Sorry, I'll say a little prayer for her but it's probably best to get her home!

Re: Freaking Out
We actually are still have tons of regular flu and rhinovirus (which is still really bad) in Florida because we get our flu season late. Have her go to an urgent care and they can do a nasal swab for both types of flu and get her some anti-virals if she is within 48 hours of symptoms.

Re: Freaking Out
I totally agree! Not to mention that if God forbid she does have the swine flu, she could possibly infect all the other passengers on the plane! I hope she feels better!!!
