FREAKING OUT HELP PLEASE

FREAKING OUT HELP PLEASE

My sister is a little more than 3 month pregnant and she is spotting. We are supposed to go to Atlantic city for my bachlorette party and the Dr. told her not to go. Should I be freaking out about the spotting? She's been trying for so long to have a baby and we were all so happy. I'm sure she's panicked. But should I be. I'm thinking of canceling my Bachlorette weekend b/c it's been too hard to get it together to begin with b/c my girls are poopie except for my sister! She was the only one I knew who was really looking forward to this weekend.

I'm sorry about your sister. I hope everything is okay. When are you supposed to leave for AC? If you think that it is going to ruin your time, maybe reschedule for another weekend? Or do something local, like in the city istead? Keep us posted.

spotting is kinda normal, at least thats what I've been told. just breathe, everything will work out

as for this weekend, I'd change it. obv you're worried and you're going to be worried, which means you wont enjoy yourself. go be there for your sister. hold her hand, rent some movies, drop your (and her) feet up and eat ice cream.

Im hoping everything is ok with your sister...
While it can be normal and happen for no reason at all, it is also the first sign of a miscarriage (not trying to make you freak...just one of the many reasons it could be happening), so that is why the doc wants her to stay close by 'just in case'.

I would say cancel your party and move it to another date, especially since the whole time you will be freaking about your sister. Hoping all goes well

If her Dr says she shouldn't go and you really want her to be there I would just reschedule. And just so you know , I don;t know her situation or anything but it is really common for women to spot in there 1st trimester. When I was pregnant with my daughter I started spotting and work and totally freaked out and went to the hospital and nothing was wrong. The say that sometimes it just haapens. i could be from when the baby implanted. sometimes it taes up to 3 months for somethng to show and sometimes nothing shows at all. Chances are her doctor is just playing it on the safe side so she doesn't stress herself out. Just be a good sister rent a few movies go over and just hang out with her. HTH. I'll say a prayer.

From what I know spotting is pretty normal. I wouldn't worry unless she has had a lot of cramping with the spotting. Doctor could just be telling her to take it easy just to see what's up. I would probably reschedule just in case it is something major, she's gonna need her sis around.

Re: FREAKING OUT HELP PLEASE

Thanks everyone. The initial freak out has passed. We're rescheduling for after the wedding but I'm still wearing my bachlorette sash! No one has to know! I've been wanting to have a sex n the city night since I've never seen it...I guess it will happen this weekend. She said she's ok to go to a restaurant and just hang out at home. I talked with her and she said she's ok, she feels OK and the little one is OK per the Dr. So I feel much better. I didn' t know where to turn and you girls are always so helpful!

If she's 3 months then I'm assuming she should be out of the red zone but, my mom's a nurse in a OB/GYN office and I'm sure by now she's been to her dr, but if it's brown blood then more than likely it's old blood and she shouldn't worry but hopefully she got some blood work done and her numbers haven't gone down.

Sorry to hear about your bach. party but I'm sure she's thankful to have a sister like you.
