As you know my invites went out yesterday. I set up my hotel block just about a year ago for the Thursday and Friday night (wedding is Friday). My guests went to call to book and they can't find me for the Friday night and are otherwise sold out!!!!!!!!!! I have a signed contract, what the hell!!! The sales associate left for the day and I have to wait to call tomorrow. I can't sit here and not do anything. My contact was Tyleen and now she's gone, does anyone have an e-mail address for the new contact??? I'm near tears because I did the hand done accommodations card in my invites and all these people are going to be calling La Quinta. Please help!!!!!!

Don't worry ... i'm sure they'll figure something out for you .... tell them that they'd better give your guests an additional discount, after messing up like that!

Yikes! I would personally go there and demand to be accomodated. I have a contract for a block for the same nights as well, I'm also gonna find out what's going on!
As a fun side note.. 2 brides there the same night, both named JENNA!! Pretty cool IMO.

Sorry that is happening to you! They have been so much trouble for me too! After Tyleen left it got crazy. They actually booked my bridal suite under someone elses block! It took forever to fix. Hopefully they wont mess up my block...and hopefully they're wrong about your block!

i'm sorry! i hope this all works out.
we found out two weeks before our invites went out that the two hotels we had blocks at (La Quinta and GCH) were completely booked but for our blocks. i cried for days and then said eff it. if people couldn't make their reservations in advance, then it's their loss.

If its in your contract they should change it. Contact Joanne. I had a problem with my room block (I was supposed to have 30 rooms- as it said in my contract but they had only given me 25). She changed it right away.

I would bypass Joanne and contact mike parikas. He is the district manager and is over Joanne. I have been dealing with him because I have found that with Joanne being a bit new there are still some questions that she can not answer. If you call the hotel and ask for his cell number th front desk will give it to you.

JoAnn isn't very helpful either and I have had nothing but problems with them, fight to get rooms for your FH and you to have some alone time at some other point... but for the wedding I recommend that you FIND A NEW HOTEL! just my opinion

The bridal suite was very nice! Very big and roomy. I liked it alot!

I originally was going to go with La quinta but was having problems with them. There is a new hotel in Garden City opened in January...called the Hyatt Place. There is also a hampton Inn right next door, Just not as nice. You should contact one of them and then just send out info for new hotels...its worth the hassle to do...for the peace of mind that you are dealing with a better hotel!
